Ed Snider is one of the main guys involved in the discussions, part of the group that proposed the 5 year contract limit and in the past month he's proposed a 13 year deal and two six year deals, since Hartnell signed a six year extension.

Is it just more or is that a total slap in the face to the NHLPA?

I don't. As of now they are still legal. I don't agree with m most of the stuff the owners proposed about contracts, but you put your team at a disadvantage if you don't.

Depends on what kind of owner he is. If he's like Pegula in Buffalo where he just gives a blank check and tells the GM to make the team better, or if he is a more involved owner like JVB was with Kovy

Me too. I was so passive defensively. Just had to skate backwards and poke until you hit the forwards stick, can't get a tripping penalty if you know how to do it right.

Same haha but you can do it once and it does something! Oh, and now you can't skate through another person and still have the puck. Which seems like a marginal upgrade if you like realism.

I'm fine with most things as long as you can't skate backwards faster than a guy skating forwards at full speed
